Approve or reject a booking request
Updated August 9, 2026 · 2 walkthroughs
Approving turns a request into a real scheduled job in one pass — service type, duration, date and technician — with everything the customer typed already filled in.
Approve a booking request
0:21On a computerThis recording stops part-way through — the written steps below cover the whole task.
- Requests land here, not in your voicemail
- The Pending Bookings page — a Requests count beside the AI-booked tab, and the new request card
- Review what they asked for
- The "Review booking" dialog, every field pre-filled from what the customer typed
- A booking has no service type — a job needs one
- The listbox opens, each service showing its default duration
- It sets what the technician is asked to capture, and how long to allow
- The trigger reads "Maintenance Tune-Up" and "Approve & create job" is no longer greyed out
- Put it on the clock
- The control showing 09:30 — inside the morning slot they asked for
- Approved, and out of the queue
- The queue is empty and the toast confirms it: "Booking approved!…"
- …and on the plan for the day they asked for

Duration comes from the service type
When you pick a service type, the job takes that service type's default duration rather than a generic slot length. If your jobs consistently run long, fix the default in Settings → Service types once instead of adjusting every booking.
The customer record
If the phone number matches someone you already have, the booking attaches to that existing customer. If it does not, a new customer is created as part of the approval — you do not have to make one first.
Rejecting a request
Reject a booking request
0:12On a computer- One you're not going to take
- The Pending Bookings page with the waiting request card
- It asks first, and says it can't be undone
- "Reject this booking?" naming Dana Whitfield, with "Keep booking" and a red "Reject booking"
- Declined — and no job was ever created
- "You're all caught up", with the toast "Booking declined"

Rejecting closes the request out of your queue. Nothing is scheduled and no customer record is created, so a spam submission leaves nothing behind.
