Updated August 9, 2026 · 1 walkthrough
Rescheduling moves a stop to a different day. The route it leaves closes up behind it; the route it lands on makes room.
Move a job to another day
0:12On a computerThis recording stops part-way through — the written steps below cover the whole task.
- Open the job you need to move
- Marcus Webb's job, currently booked for Sat, Aug 8 at 8:00 AM
- Everything about the visit, in one place
- The Job Details panel, showing the date and window it is booked for
- Pick the new day
- The date now reads Sun, Aug 9, 2026
- Saved
Recorded August 2026
What to do afterwards
- Re-run optimize on both days if the order matters — moving a job does not automatically re-sequence either route.
- Tell the customer. Rescheduling does not text them; only optimize offers to, and only when you tick them.
A moved job can lose its technician
If the technician who had the job is not working the day you moved it to, the job lands unassigned. It is still scheduled and it is still on the board — it simply is not on anybody's phone until you put it on a lane.
