Invite a technician

Updated August 9, 2026 · 1 walkthrough

Invites go out by email. The technician sets their own password, and lands straight on their own day — they never see your dashboard, your revenue or anyone else's jobs.

The written steps below are the whole walkthrough.

Invite a technician
  1. Your crew lives on the Team page
  2. The Team page: crew stats, unassigned work, and every technician
  3. Invite someone new
  4. The invite form opens, showing 2 of 5 technician seats in use
  5. Their work email is all that's required
  6. With the address in, a preview of the email he'll receive appears and Send Invitation lights up
  7. Add a name and the email greets them by it
  8. The preview now opens with "Hi Luis Romero,"
  9. …and a phone for day-of dispatch
  10. The number formats itself as (478) 780-5896 — and below it, a registration link that's good for seven days
  11. Send it
  12. Sent — "Invitation email sent to [email protected]"
  13. The seat is held until he accepts

Record the services each technician can perform

Skills are how auto-assign knows who can take which job. A technician with no skills set can still be assigned by hand, but auto-assign will route around them — so if someone is being mysteriously skipped, this is the first place to look.

Revoking an invite

Sent one to the wrong address? Revoke it. The link stops working immediately and the seat it was holding is freed.

Cancelling kills the link they were sent
A pending invite occupies a technician seat from the moment you send it. If you are at your plan limit and someone never accepted, revoking their invite is the fastest way to make room — see plans and seats.
