Run your own day as a working manager

Updated August 9, 2026 · 3 walkthroughs

Most Rhumbit accounts are one person who does the office work in the morning and the field work all day. The app assumes that rather than treating it as an edge case.

Switch between your lane and the team's
  1. With a team, unassigned work still lands in your lane
  2. It's still an unassigned job — it just lives with you
  3. Tap the Ruth Calloway bar
  4. The job detail: 'This job is unassigned. Scheduled for Sat, Aug 8 at 9:00 AM.' with a red Unassigned chip
  5. Hand it to a technician
  6. Tap Assign Technician
  7. The Assign Job dialog: Greg Pike recommended by proximity, the ETA text ticked, and the CTA still disabled — 'Select a technician'
  8. Pick the tech
  9. Tap the Greg Pike card
  10. The card is now selected and the CTA re-labels to 'Assign to Greg Pike'
  11. Assign
  12. Tap Assign to Greg Pike
  13. Dialog closes: the unassigned banner is gone, the chip reads Pending, and a 'Technician assigned' toast confirms it
  14. And it leaves your lane
  15. Tap Back
  16. Back on the Timeline — now in Week zoom — Greg Pike's lane has a bar and Walter's is down to two
  17. Zoom back into today to compare the lanes
  18. Tap Day
  19. Ruth Calloway now sits in Greg Pike's lane, and Walter's lane is down to two bars

With a team, unassigned jobs still default to your lane

Working solo? Your plan is one lane — yours — plus an unscheduled tray

With no technicians on the account there are no lanes to compare, so the board collapses to a single timeline — your day. Everything else works identically; nothing is disabled or hidden behind an upgrade.

Unassigned jobs are yours by default. That is why the route map lives on Execute rather than on Plan: the person planning the day is usually the person driving it.
