Run your own day as a working manager
Updated August 9, 2026 · 3 walkthroughs
Most Rhumbit accounts are one person who does the office work in the morning and the field work all day. The app assumes that rather than treating it as an edge case.

- Tap Day
- Day zoom: today only, hours across the width, and an Optimize button in the lane's sidebar
- Optimize your own day like any technician's
- Tap Optimize
- Bars re-order to Delia, Nora, Peter, Marcus — 'Lane optimized — 4 stops, 4 ETAs updated'
- Then go and work it
- Tap Execute

Your lane and the team's
Switch between your lane and the team's
0:22On a computer- With a team, unassigned work still lands in your lane
- It's still an unassigned job — it just lives with you
- Tap the Ruth Calloway bar
- The job detail: 'This job is unassigned. Scheduled for Sat, Aug 8 at 9:00 AM.' with a red Unassigned chip
- Hand it to a technician
- Tap Assign Technician
- The Assign Job dialog: Greg Pike recommended by proximity, the ETA text ticked, and the CTA still disabled — 'Select a technician'
- Pick the tech
- Tap the Greg Pike card
- The card is now selected and the CTA re-labels to 'Assign to Greg Pike'
- Assign
- Tap Assign to Greg Pike
- Dialog closes: the unassigned banner is gone, the chip reads Pending, and a 'Technician assigned' toast confirms it
- And it leaves your lane
- Tap Back
- Back on the Timeline — now in Week zoom — Greg Pike's lane has a bar and Walter's is down to two
- Zoom back into today to compare the lanes
- Tap Day
- Ruth Calloway now sits in Greg Pike's lane, and Walter's lane is down to two bars

When you are the only one
With no technicians on the account there are no lanes to compare, so the board collapses to a single timeline — your day. Everything else works identically; nothing is disabled or hidden behind an upgrade.
Unassigned jobs are yours by default. That is why the route map lives on Execute rather than on Plan: the person planning the day is usually the person driving it.
